Questions For Your Window Contractor
1. Do you charge for an estimate?
No, Vista Window provides all in home consultations for free. Our goal is to provide you information to make an informed decision regarding your project.
2. How long have you been in the construction business? What is your specific experience with window installations?
Vista Window Mfg. has been in business since December 2006, and plans are in the works for our second office in 2112.
3. Do you have your own crew, or do you subcontract?
All Vista window installations are professionally completed by our own factory trained and licensed staff, we use no sub contractors. This enables 100% full accountability by our company with NO finger pointing.
4. Are you on site during the installation process?
Each project has an experienced designated Project manager who is responsible for the details and installation of the job as well as a post project job walk with the client to ensure 100% satisfaction.
5. How would I handle service issues after the installation is complete?
In the event of a service issue after the project has been successfully completed, all that is necessary is for a phone call to the office to schedule an appointment to address the issue or concerns. An appointment will be scheduled with (5) business days or less depending on the severity and safety of the matter.
6. What are your payment terms?
Vista Window requires a deposit of 50% of the project total in order to start custom manufacturing your chosen replacement products. Acceptable means of payment are CASH, CHECK, CREDIT CARD and financing options are available.
7. Do you offer painting as a part of your installation package?
Vista DOES provide professional spray painting services for any of its entry door products. Top quality 100% acrylic paints are used for maximum durability, colorfastness and sheen.
8. How much time will it take, from ordering to installation?
Typically, from order to installation is approximately two weeks for windows and patio doors. Fiberglass or wood entry doors average about 4 week turnaround.
9. How do you finish out the interior of the windows after installation?
For retro fit replacement products, the interior finish is completed with a low grade expansion foam sprayed around the perimeter of the interior frame and an interior vinyl flat trim installed around the perimeter of the window (photos of this process can be emailed to you at our request)
10. How long would a 10-window installation project take you?
Typical projects take one day to complete. Your two man Vista team work together in your home from start to finish. Factors that can make the project take longer are overall size of project (15 windows or more), two story home (up and down ladder) or custom work like window cutdowns or new openings.
11. What type of warranty do you offer on your installation? (In addition to the warranty on the windows.)
Vista is proud to offer an industry leading warranty 20 year labor warranty on all its window and door products. What does that mean? For twenty years Vista will be accountable and responsible for any installation we completed to ensure that the windows or doors don’t leak, and work and function properly as expected.
12. Do you have any recent projects where I can see how the windows look from the street?
We certainly do. Vista completes approximately 20-25 new window and door replacement projects per month, and at your request we can provide you with an address to see the fine detail of our finished work. We also can invite you to see one of our projects in action so you can se the care and respect that is given to your home by our install team.
